Panasonic's active noise canceling technology reduces background noise by creating out-of-phase signals that equal the background noise, to cancel it. Additionally, the headphones reduce low frequencies such as the drone of a plane's engine or a loud air conditioner. The noise-canceling feature can be switched off to allow normal conversations, or to reduce background noise only with the comfortable insulated housing.

Sound is reproduced by large, 36mm drivers with Neodymium rare-earth magnets for rich, powerful sound. Frequency response is 8Hz - 22Hz.

The headphone conveniently folds for storage. An included carrying pouch and operation on one AAA sized alkaline battery make these headphones ideal for travel. The cord is detachable for easy packing, and you also gat an adapter for the headphone jacks on some older airplanes.
